Annabel works mainly with statutory agencies such as the NHS, Local Authority/Social Services Departments, police forces including the MOD and Service Police, and law enforcement agencies such as SOCA and INTERPOL, the Crown Prosecution Service, and the Courts including the Royal Courts of Justice.
Annabel has worked on independent inspection, audit and evaluation teams, and has provided expert opinion in a major Judical Review Inquiry and in several major NHS/Care Home investigations and prosecutions. She is also a a Specialist Professional Advisor to the Care Quality Comission (CQC) and to SOCA/NCA/College of Policing.
Having gained invaluable insights into how and why some health & social care organisations may fail - and some may even actively abuse the vulnerable people in their care - Annabel is committed to the proactive use of psychological aspects of policy development and change management within organisations to support positive and ongoing transformational change processes in such vital services.
Annabel has held Consultant, senior management and service development posts including Lead Clinician of a specialist MDT/support service, and Head of Specialty, both in the NHS and also in the private sector. Annabel has been responsible for the implementation of service development as well as the line management, clinical training, professional supervision of other psychologists and clinical colleagues in her professional role across statutory and private contexts.
